This is not mass produced dog food or anything
you will find at the
supermarket, and nothing like those “Homemade” foods sold at
“Farmer’s Markets.”
Each fully balanced recipe is developed by a real
Animal Nutritionist specifically for your pet's needs! You can buy the recipe
and prepare the food yourself, or California K9 Kitchen can prepare
it for you.
We also offer “On-Site” (at your home) food preparation upon
request, and we can also train you or your staff to prepare
the food and add the supplements.

4 Steps To A Healthy Dog
Our team approach to your dog's health

Step 1

Visit your
veterinarian. Regardless of your dog's health status, this
allows us to do the best work we can for your dog.

Have your
veterinarian contact Pet Nutrition Consulting with the results
of your dog's health check review.

Consultation forms are available online. You will be asked
to convey as much information about your pet as you can. There
will be questions to guide you through this process. Don't rush
through the questionnaire. You know your dog better than anyone
and are the best source of information.

Step 2
Pet Nutrition Consulting will -

Review the information from
your veterinarian.

Review the information you
provide

Ask questions that arise from
review of all information provided.

We will then formulate a
diet(s) that is unique for your dog. Age, activity level,
health issues, risk factors for disease (e.g. obesity,
diabetes) and food preferences will be used as guidelines.

You and your veterinarian will
receive a copy of the recipe for Review and medical files.

We will set you up on an
appropriate veterinary recheck schedule to assess if diet
adjustments are periodically needed.

Pet Nutrition Consulting will
be a part of the team working to keep your dog healthy. The
team consists of you, your veterinarian, and Pet Nutrition
Consulting (who supports the veterinarian and helps the pet
family).

Step 3

Pet Nutrition Consulting will provide the final recipe to
California K9 Kitchen to prepare food preparation cost
estimates.
-
California K9 Kitchen will prepare your recipe in quantities you
choose, (20 quart minimum) and freeze the food in 16 ounce
containers.

Additional Notes
Should you prefer to prepare the recipe yourself, California K9
Kitchen will be able to train you and/or your staff in proper food
preparation and storage.
California K9 Kitchen is also available to share their cooking
experience with you in person, by phone, and email communication.
The recipes can be tricky, and PROPER preparation is vital to retain
the nutrients present in the foods and the supplements.
Short term preparation by California K9 Kitchen is also
available.

Service Options
There are several standard and
custom service options available to you.

Our member veterinary clinics
can be the supplier of your food. This is particularly
important for medical diets, as the stronger relationship
between you and your veterinarian will benefit your dog.

Our member Pet Boutiques can
be your supplier. Your food can be delivered to a nearby shop,
for you to pick up at your convenience.

Home delivery or overnight
shipping of food is also available for a fee.

If your dog has a sensitive
stomach, California K9 Kitchen can create treats that will not
conflict with special diets.
